    Conjuguemos only accepted by Thursday at 3:10pm.

     

     

  • Educational Goals and Objective

    The classes will be conducted  in Spanish, each one depending on grade level. Vocabulary, verbs, history and culture will be added to their list this year. Reading books watching movies, story telling and having conversations, will increase their knowledge of the target language. By the end of the year the students will be able to communicate in target language, by way of reading, writing, and speaking.  Check my website at www.gradebookwizard.com log in with the login and password you already have and you can check assignments, grades, and write me e-mails. Link is at the buttom of the page.

  • Exciting Classroom Activities

    This year the students will be participating in the Baila, a lipsync contest. where the students will show their abilities to lipsync and dance to a Spanish song.

    We will take a field trip to El Mexicano  or Garcia's for Cinco de Mayo, where the students will have the change to celebrate this holiday and practice their spanish with native speakers from Mexico.

    We also will take a field trip to the egg theater in Albany, where the students will enjoy music and performances of groups from different latin countries, including Spain

    My full name is Maria de las Mercedes Falcon Mora Barnard.  Señora Barnard for short. I was born and raised in Spain, but have been in the USA for 33 years.   I am married and have 4 children.  My passion besides my family is to teach my own language, and culture to students

  • LANGUAGE CLUB MISSION STATEMENT:

    The Hartford Central School District Language Club was formed in 2004 to help provide the students with a better understanding of other languages spoken in the world, we do it mainly thru culture.  Any student of Hartford Central School District within the grades 8th-12th is eligible to join the Club.

    This year activities are:

    Egg theather for a cultural Spanish experience.  Music and dances from Spain as well as  Latin america

    5 de mayo lunch at Garcia's Lake George.
