I am the K-12 Music teacher for Hartford Central School. I graduated from Hudson Falls Central School in 1993. After attending The College of St. Rose, I graduated in 1997. I began my teaching career at the Primary School in Hudson Falls. I finished my masters in 2005 and joined the Hartford Community in 2009. I live in Hudson Falls with my husband, youngest son and two cats. Our oldest son is an OSSR in the United States Navy.
Elementary music students are graded on seven aspects of the general music class. The student will receive a grade for; singing on pitch, reading melodic notation, reading rhythmic notation, behavior in class, making musical sounds on various instruments, providing proper care for the instruments and effort.
Additionally, third through fifth grade students will be graded on the recorder. Third grade students will study Recorder Karate 1 and fouth will be studying Recorder 2. Lunch lessons will be provided for third grade and fifth grades students throughout the year.
3rd – 5th grade general music students will need a folder, pencil and recorder.
