SUNY Adirondack Offers Free Online Tutoring Service for Local Students

Pilot program supports K–9 learners through America Reads initiative

SUNY Adirondack is now offering a free online tutoring service for local students in kindergarten through 9th grade. The pilot program, part of the America Reads/America Counts initiative, is designed to provide academic support to younger learners by pairing them with SUNY Adirondack college students.

Tutoring sessions are conducted virtually through Google Meet and are available three days a week:

  • Mondays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The service operates as a drop-in model, allowing students to join as needed without an appointment. A QR code and meeting link are available in the official program flyer for easy access.

The program is funded through the federal America Reads/America Counts initiative, which aims to improve literacy and math skills among elementary and middle school students.
