Message from Superintendent Cook
To All Parents/Guardians:
I am writing to share information regarding our food and nutrition department.
First, over the summer, the district’s point of sale system was converted from “My School Bucks” to “LINQ Connect.” With the conversion, student account information and any funds remaining from the previous school year have been transferred to the new system. However, parents and guardians will still need to register the account(s). The link below includes instructions and outlines the features and benefits of LINQ Connect.
Second, for the 2023-2024 school year, Hartford maintained our eligibility as a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school and all students are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge. Although an application is not required to participate, we urge families to complete the Household Income Eligibility Form(HHIE) upon registering with LINQ Connect. The online form should be completed no later than Sunday, October, 1, 2023. The data gathered from this form allows the district to receive additional state and federal funding and can help qualify students for benefits, including reduced fees for the SAT and ACT, reduced college application fees, discounts on Chromebook warranties, and discounts on monthly internet services and computer purchases. Please note, the information collected on these forms is kept confidential.
Although breakfast and lunch are free, students may elect to purchase a-la-carte items (i.e. additional meals or snacks) so long as they have available funds in their accounts.
Our cafeteria team is excited to welcome our students back for the 2023-2024 school year!
Sincerely,
Andrew Cook
Superintendent
Hartford Central School District
