Ethan Parker Selected as AASBA Scholarship Recipient

Ethan Parker was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $350 from the Adirondack Area School Boards Association (AASBA). The scholarship is based on volunteer and community service and was presented at AASBA’s annual awards dinner held Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Courtyard Marriott in Lake George. 


Ethan is very active in the community and his volunteer efforts include helping serve dinners at the South Hartford Church; helping serve breakfast at the Hartford Volunteer Fire Company’s pancake breakfasts; and helping with Eagle Scout projects through both the Hartford Yoked Parish and Argyle Presbyterian Church.  


Ethan is a leader amongst his peers as he is the president of the school’s Language Club; vice president of Key Club; and vice president of Student Government. Ethan is a member of the varsity golf team and earned the title of Most Improved Player last fall. Outside of school activities he practices taekwondo at Murray’s Way of Life and holds brown belt ranking. Ethan was also awarded the American Good Citizenship Award by the Daughters of the American Revolution. 


Ethan plans to pursue a degree in anthropology at Skidmore College. Ethan is the son of Edward and Jennifer Parker.
