This morning the district was made aware of a COVID-19 case in the district and the district is currently working with the Washington County Department of Health to properly complete the contact tracing process.
Based on our initial review:
All Middle/High School students (grades 6-12) will learn remotely on Monday, January 25, and Tuesday, January 26.
Elementary students (grades UPK – 5) who are not in quarantine, may report to school for in-person instruction on Monday, January 25.
Students who attend a full-day out-of-district placement will still be transported to their specific programs; and
Students who have signed up to receive a daily meal delivery will still have a lunch delivered.
A decision on whether the district can reopen for in-person instruction for our Middle/High School students on Wednesday, January 26 will be made on Monday and additional information will be provided at that time.
If, as part of our contact tracing, your child is deemed to be a contact of a positive, you will receive a call from the district with additional information.
At this time, the plan is to return to in-person learning on Wednesday, January 26, 2021.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work through this difficult time together.
