Ms. Luciano's Teacher Page
Dear Parents and Families,
Hello! My name is Julianna Luciano and I am the new history teacher at Hartford Central School District. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work in the Hartford district and to work with your students. I wanted to write to you to let you know some information about me as we get started on this new school year.
I grew up in Saratoga Springs and still live there today. I attended The College of Saint Rose for both my undergraduate and graduate programs. In 2018 I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Adolescence Education, and in May I completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Over the course of my teaching career, I have worked in many schools. I completed field hours in Saratoga and Hudson Falls, and then did my student teaching experiences at Stillwater and South Glens Falls. After college, I worked as a long term substitute at Greenwich, and then worked at Fort Edward. I believe all of these teaching experiences have prepared me to be an effective teacher for your students.
I will be teaching 10th grade Global History and the History Skills class that supplements it, as well as 12th grade Government and Economics. In Global 10 we will be studying world history from 1750 to the present, and will work to prepare for the Regents exam at the end of the year. The History Skills class will allow us to further prepare for the exam by extending on the work we do in Global 10. The Government and Economics courses will help prepare students to be active and informed citizens as they get ready to leave high school.
I am excited to get to know your students and for the year we have ahead of us. It will certainly be an interesting one given the ongoing pandemic, but I believe we will be able to do great things together!
