The Hartford Central School District recognizes that student attendance in school is an important component of student success. Daily interaction with faculty, staff, and other students in class helps to enhance the academic learning experience. Those students who attend school everyday ensure themselves the best opportunity to succeed academically and demonstrate a dedication to school that should be recognized. Therefore, the Hartford Central School District has established two recognitions in regards to attendance.

Perfect Attendance: Students qualify for the perfect attendance recognition by having no absences, tardies, or early dismissals on their yearly record.

Excellent Attendance: Students qualify for the excellent attendance recognition by having a total combination of less than five absences, tardies, or early dismissals for the entire school year.

**For the purpose of these recognitions, the district does not distinguish between excused and unexcused absences.
