Volleyball is played by two teams of six players. A net is set
across the middle of a courts, measuring 18 meters long and 9 meters
wide. Play starts by one player serving the ball over the net from
behind the base line. The receiving team must pass the ball back over
the net, but the ball cannot be hit by them more than three times. A
single player cannot touch the ball twice in a row
. If the ball does not go back over the net, the opposition
win a point. After each team wins the ball back, each player rotates
one position clockwise.
The object of the game is to force the ball down onto the floor of
the opponent's court, or to put them under so much pressure that they
are unable to return the ball. A team wins a game by scoring 25
points with at least a two-point lead. In order to win the match, a
team must win 3 out of 5 games.
