Nestled in the heart of Washington County, Hartford Central School District is proud to serve a close-knit community where education, opportunity, and student success come first. Our Pre-K through 12 campus offers a safe, supportive environment where every student is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Located in eastern upstate New York, Hartford Central School District serves students from the towns of Fort Edward, Fort Ann, Salem, Argyle, Hebron, Granville, and Hartford. The district features two campuses.

  • 7 Sports
    Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country, Golf, Basketball, Baseball, Softball
  • 13 Clubs
    Cheerleading, FFA, Yearbook Committee, Student Government, Math League, Science Club, Art Club, and many more!
  • Tanager Voices
    For students grades 3-5 who are interested in singing and acting.
  • Battle of the Books
    Students grades 3-6 participate in a local competition regarding details of the books they read.
  • Enrichment
    Faculty and staff share a talent, interest, or activity with students once a week for five weeks.
  • Spelling Bee
    Winners compete during a school assembly, and those winners advance to compete in a regional competition.

Sports, Clubs & Activities

For such a small school, Hartford Central School District provides big opportunities for students to get involved with athletics, clubs, and numerous extra-curriculars.
